Fatina Laila is an actress born in Hama Syria in 1983. She studied theatre at the High Institute of Dramatic Arts at the University of Damascus and graduated in 2009. Before graduating, she participated in several plays such asThe Long Christmas Dinner, The House of Bernard Alba, and Six Characters in Search of an Author. Between 2008 and 2012, she starred in various TV series in Syria and the United Arab Emirates. In 2010, she joined director Mohammed Abdulaziz in his film “Damascus with Love” and in 2013, she worked with director Rifki Assaf in the film “The Curve”. In 2012, Fatina took part in a staged reading by playwright Mohammad Attar and director Omar Abu Saada which was performed at Meeting Points–Beirut, Lebanon and several European cities including Berlin and Athens. In 2014, she worked with artists Mey Seifan & Ziad Adwan in their play “Destruction for Beginners 2”, which was performed at the RODEO festival in 2014, i-camp/Neues Theater München. In 2016, Fatina was back with playwright Mohammad Attar and director Omar Abu Saada in their play “While I Was Waiting” which was performed in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, and Belgium. Between 2020 and 2022, she was in collaboration with Barzakh Productions and participated in several stage readings of many Syrian theatre plays. In November 2021, she did the “ Reality Check “ performance with Mey Sefan.
